Silver-Coloured Vacuum Side Seal Bags

Silver-coloured vacuum side seal bags are designed for applications where vacuum packaging, presentation and reduced light exposure are important. The film is silver metallised on both sides and is therefore opaque, preventing the packaged product from being visible through the bag.

The bags are made from PET/PE film, have a thickness of 82 microns and feature a smooth side-seal construction. They are suitable for vacuum packaging food products such as meat, fish, processed meats, cheese and other foods.

The metallised film reduces the amount of light reaching the packaged product and is therefore suitable for products where protection from light is desirable. Final shelf life still depends on factors such as the product itself, processing conditions, hygiene, storage temperature and other storage conditions.

For products that need to remain visible, transparent vacuum side seal bags are available. For applications where a specifically high oxygen barrier is required, EVOH high-barrier vacuum side seal bags can be used.
