<p>From July 1st, the SUP directive will be further expanded, and this will affect us all. The guidelines relate to packaging materials containing plastic for single use. After this date, your customer will have to pay for it.</p>
<p>The difference will occur depending on whether your customer collects food and drinks, has them delivered or eats or drinks on location. No contribution needs to be charged for packaging materials that do not contain plastic. To help you with this, we would like to provide you with some more information.</p>
<p><strong>What does the SUP directive mean for you as an entrepreneur as of 1 July?</strong><br>
If you run a hospitality business where customers pick up or have their food or drink delivered, you are required to charge a contribution for every single-use cup, plate or container you serve.
You are obliged to offer the consumer a reusable alternative and must offer a 'bring your own' option. Self-brought crockery may only be refused if it is not (optically) clean.</p>
